MPAC's debut album is a very hectic cd that somehow makes perfect sense. Pairing noise-art experimentation with folk traditionalism, Tyrone Davies has crafted a beautiful cd. 405 Melbourne includes everything from hints of early Microphones to folk covers to Mouse On Mars inspired absurdism (see 'I Got You'). Not many cd's can go from instrumentals using any noise imaginable to a song featuring the strumming of an acoustic guitar and vocals. Nevertheless, Davies has pulled it off and seems to feel comfortable with the traditional and the abnormal.
